BARBOUR

A.P.C. BARBOUR

It all begins with a shared belief: an honest garment always ends up saying something about the person who wears it.

Wax holds out against rain, wind, bracken. Denim holds out against wear, washing, years. Two fabrics born for work, one in the fields and trenches of northern England, the other in the mines and factories of America. Neither was made to be beautiful. Both became it.

Each brand borrows the other's proportions and utilitarian details.

Wax deepens with time. It takes on the creases of the body that wears it, builds a patina that no two jackets share. Denim fades toward the light, records every movement, every fold, every hour spent in it. Two fabrics that keep track of where they have been.

This is what Barbour and A.P.C. have always understood. That a material is not a surface. That what a garment becomes over time is not wear, it is evidence. Both houses have built their work around fabrics that only get more interesting once you start using them.

This is where they meet.

WAX

Barbour reissues the Premium Thornproof Wax Cotton from its archives, whose denser weave brings more structure and depth of colour. Offered exclusively in dark sage and dark navy, it develops a rich patina over the years.

DENIM

A.P.C.’s denim is an exclusive fabric, whose formula belongs solely to the brand. Here, it is featured in jackets and jeans.

DETAILS

Utility pockets, cuffs, matching wool collars, and removable hoods return on several models, and the D-ring, a Barbour signature, adorns certain pieces. Traditional tartan is used extensively as a lining throughout both the garments and the accessories.
